WESTERN SWING SONGS ON BARBARA NELSON’S NEWEST CD (#10) “SWINGIN’ OPEN
Barbara Nelson plays guitar and sings western swing music in all it’s many forms: traditional, blues, folk, old standards and swing. She has performed at many different places; Elko National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, Oregon State Parks Program, Hamley’s Western Store, Pendleton Arts Center, AWA award ceremonies in Fort Worth, Texas , High Desert Museum in Bend, Ore., and in Paulina at the Rusty Stirrup Music Festival.
Barbara and her husband Nels live on a ranch near Pendleton and manage the family ranch near Heppner. “Swingin’ Open Range” is her l0th album and showcases many song types. She loves to sing and play guitar and this shows in her performances.
